Mark Jones Tree Surgery is a small family run business based in East Kent. Unlike some other firms we do not use contractors but employ a full time professional and dedicated team.
Mark Jones – Partner
Mark has been qualified in tree surgery for over 20 years and is the first port of call for clients. He is always happy to travel across Kent to give tree surgery quotes and arboricultural advice. Always on the move you can contact Mark on his mobile or via email as he travels as far-field as Folkestone, Dover, Thanet, Canterbury, Medway and even south London.
Jo Jones – Office Manger
Jo is based in the office and with a degree in Business Studies is in charge of the day to day running of the business and all the accounting aspects. She also books the appointments for visits and advice and is usually the first port of call for contact.
Charlie Savin – Team Leader
Charlie lives just outside Canterbury and has worked as a Tree Surgeon in Kent for 24 years. For his apprenticeship he learnt the ropes working with a Tree Surgery Company in Thanet for 7 years. Since then Charlie has been with Mark Jones for 17 years working across Kent. Charlie is passionate about everything to do with trees. Every tree provides its own challenge and Charlie loves to make sure the job is done properly and safely. He is never happier than when the client is happy. In his spare time he enjoys wood turning.
Mark Birkett – Climber
Mark is from Deal and joined the company after completing his arborist qualifications about six years ago, and continued his education under the guidance of Charlie Savin (above), a tree surgeon with over 24yrs experience in the industry. Mark is now a fully competent climber and permanent member of the team.
Matt Dyer – Trainee Climber
Matt is from Whitfield, Dover and has been working for the company for 4 years after starting a First Diploma in Countryside Management Course at Hadlow College and working as a trainee climber on day release. He has also completed two NPTC courses at Hadlow.
